NY Lakes and a new AC...

Our first major RV issue...a broken AC unit. On our way to Lake George we contacted a repairman who suggested we try Alpine Lake instead of the parks on Lake George. After driving around a little bit we decided to give it a shot...we called and there was one lakefront site available, so off we went. We were pleasantly surprised at our campsite, sitting right between two small lakes, with a sandy beach right across the road. This turned out to be one of the most relaxing stops yet. The kids had a ball playing on the beach, and of course rented more bikes, and we all played some family tennis, though the temperatures and humidity were up there. And, what a surprise, Darin made great friends with the neighbors, who we ended up chatting with around the campfire. After 3 nights we had enjoyed our stay here but we were ready to move on. We headed to Vermont and took a tour of the Ben and Jerry's factory and enjoyed some ice cream. Next...off to Bar Harbor!
